Assessment in Design Technology

The intent of our curriculum is to deliver the end of key stage expectations for all children in design technology. Our scheme of work taught effectively by teachers ensures that children reach those prescribed end points. Each unit of work contains five indicators that children are keeping us with the curriculum and  are 'on track' to reach the end of key stage  expectations.

The key to having an effective system that tracks whether children are on track to reach the end of key stage expectations is a progression document that details the knowledge and skills that children are expected to know and remember at each stage of the learning journey.
