Designs and Designers

The Design Technology National Curriculum states that at Key Stage 2:

When designing and making, pupils should be taught to understand how key events and individuals in design and technology have helped shape the world. This should be taught in the context of the curriculum content of the unit of work being delivered. Many of our units of work include a short presentation to support this area of learning. The following presentations can be downloaded free of charge from the menu on the right-hand side:

Jamie Oliver: TV chef and his campaign to improve school dinners and tackle childhood obesity.

Ingrid Kosar: The American entrepreneur responsible for inventing the pizza delivery bag.

Omari McQueen: The young food entrepreneur who created his own vegan food company and restaurant all before the age of sixteen.

Elon Musk: Tech entrepreneur and his development of Tesla EV, Starlink and SpaceX.
